Nvidia’s market cap crosses $3 trillion

Shares of US semiconductor chip maker Nvidia Corp reached a new record high on Wednesday. On June 5, the stock closed at $1,224.40 (about Rs 1,86,958) with a gain of $60.03, i.e. 5.16%.

With this, the company’s market cap has reached $3.01 trillion (about Rs 251 lakh crore). After this, Nvidia has overtaken Apple to become the second most valuable company in the world. At the same time, Apple’s market cap is $3 trillion (about Rs 250 lakh crore).

Earlier in the year 2002, Nvidia’s market cap was higher than Apple’s market cap. At that time, the market cap of both the companies was less than $10 billion. Nvidia is already the world’s most valuable semiconductor firm.
