Uttarakhand weather update: Mercury to rise from hills to the plains for next few days

The mercury in Uttarakhand has now started rising from the mountains to the plains. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is likely to remain dry in the next few days. This may further increase the temperature. However, there is a possibility of light rain along with cloud cover in some hilly areas. At the same time, there is also a warning of dust storm in the plains.

According to the Meteorological Center, the mercury in the plains may remain above normal by three to five degrees Celsius for the next few days. Whereas, there is a warning of light showers and hailstorm at some places in the hilly areas on 17 and 18 April. Light rain is expected in Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar.

Mercury crossed 36 degree in Dehradun

For the last few days, the heat is increasing in the state. People are troubled due to the scorching sun. On Friday, the maximum temperature in Doon was recorded more than 36 degree Celsius. At the same time, the temperature is also increasing in the hilly areas of the state. Within the last 10 days, an increase of more than six degree Celsius has been recorded in the temperature.
