Ropeway operations suspended till 23 Jan for skiing championship preparation

These days preparations are on in full swing for the national skiing championship to be held in Auli. On Tuesday, a team of engineers from Kolkata arrived at Auli to inspect the ropeway. Due to this the operation of Joshimath-Auli ropeway has been stopped till 23 January.

Auli has a national skiing competition to be held from 7 to 11 February. The team of engineers from the Industrial NDT Consultancy Service Kolkata rushed to Auli to inspect all the equipment of the ropeway during the National Skiing Championships so that the players do not face any kind of problems.

Auli ropeway will remain closed from January 21 to 23 until inspection. Assistant Manager of Ropeway Dinesh Malasi said that the team of engineers from Kolkata will inspect all the equipment of Ropeway from January 21 to 23. Safety certificate will be issued by the team to the ropeway management, after which the operation of the ropeway will begin.
