Major IAS reshuffling in Uttarakhand
The Uttarakhand government has changed the charge of 19 IAS and two PCS officers while making major administrative changes on Monday. Chairman of the Revenue Council S. Ramaswamy has also been given charge of the President of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation.
BVRC Purushottam, who returned from central deputation, has been made Commissioner of the Garhwal Board replacing Shailesh Bagauli from the post. Ranbir Singh has been removed as Additional Chief Secretary Forest and Environment Department .
After a long time, the government has made a lot of reshuffle from different IAS officers. The government has tried to make the rational deployment of officials. Some officers have been removed from other departments with more charges and transferred to other departments.
The state property and skill development and employment department has been taken from and secretary Chief Secretary Om Prakash and given to Ranjit Sinha. Additional chief secretary Ranbir Singh has been removed from the charge of Additional Chief Secretary Forest and Environment Department and given to Anand Bardhan.
Small irrigation, irrigation, military welfare, food and civil supplies and consumer affairs and commissioner, food civil supplies and consumer affairs portfolios have been removed from Bardhan. Sushil Kumar has been appointed secretary Food, Civil Supplies Commissioner and Consumer Affairs .
Principal Secretary Manisha Pawar has transferred as the Director General and Commissioner Industries and given to Brajesh Kumar Sant who inturn has been relived from the the charge of Uttarakhand Transport Corporation managing director, Additional Secretary R. Rajesh Kumar will now be the MD.
R. Rajesh is also a Civil Aviation, Secretariat Administration and Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Department. Secretary, Bhupendra Kaur Aulakh has removed from school education (primary and secondary) and has been given charge of irrigation. Now, secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram will handle the Vidyalaya education (primary and secondary) department.
Sunderam will remain in charge of animal husbandry, fishery, cooperatives and milk development. Department of Personnel and Vigilance has been removed from Secretary Nitesh Kumar Jha. Secretary Harbans Singh Chugh has been removed from the secretariat administration and given to the in-charge secretary, Inudhar Baudai. In-charge Secretary Bhopal Singh Manral has been given the first charge of Sainik Welfare Department.
Commissioner Excise and DG Dipender Chaudhary has been given the charge of Managing Director Uttarakhand Sugar Federation. Additional Secretary Chief Minister Meherban Singh Bisht has been given the charge of Mining. Their earlier charges will remain in place. The charge of Uttarakhand Sugar Federation has been removed from the post of Additional Secretary Pradeep Singh Rawat. Their other charges will remain the same.
