Changing weather brings fresh spell of rain, snow in Uttarakhand

Due to the activation of Western Disturbance once again in the state, the weather pattern deteriorated till the mountains including the capital Doon. While it rained heavily in Doon on Sunday evening, there was snowfall in the hilly areas. Due to this, once again people shivered due to severe cold.

Due to the change in the weather, there will be heavy rain and snowfall in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar on Monday. Orange alert has been issued regarding this. Whereas in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts, there is a possibility of hailstorm and lightning accompanied by thunder at some places.

In the capital Doon, it will be partly cloudy and there is a possibility of hailstorm with light to moderate rain. Here the maximum temperature will be around 15 degrees and the minimum temperature will be around 9 degrees. In such a situation, people will have to face the cold.

According to the Meteorological Department report, due to rain and snowfall, Pantnagar recorded a maximum temperature of 17.7 degrees and a minimum temperature of 7.4 degrees, Mukteshwar had a maximum of 17.2 degrees and minimum of 7.2 degrees, Tehri a maximum temperature of 12 degrees and a minimum temperature of 8 degrees.

According to meteorologists, the weather is expected to become normal after the next 24 hours due to the weakening of the Western Disturbance.
