Monsoon expected in Uttarakhand till 3rd week of June

Uttarakhand this year, may receive more than normal rainfall this monsoons season. After the arrival of monsoon in Kerala, the Meteorological Department has expressed its possibility. Monsoon in the state may knock around June 21.

It usually takes about 21 days for the monsoon to reach Uttarakhand after Kerala on June 1. This year Kerala monsoon has reached right on time. In such a situation, if the system is not affected in the middle, then the monsoon will reach Uttarakhand around 21 June.

The meteorological department has predicted 102 percent of the monsoon rainfall in the entire North India region this year. Uttarakhand normally received 1229.1 mm of rainfall in the monsoon season last year. The normal rainfall this year has been fixed at 1191 mm. According to Meteorological Center Director Bikram Singh, the monsoon will be good in the country.

Monsoon lasts till last week of September

The normal monsoon season in Uttarakhand lasts from June 1 to around September 30. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department is expecting that there will be good rain this time too. At the same time, most of the plains of the state including the capital Doon got sunshine on Tuesday. Light rain may also occur in some hilly areas.

According to the weather center, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh may receive thunder and rain. Meteorological Center Director Bikram Singh said that the maximum temperature of the capital may increase by two to three degrees.
