International Yoga festival 2021 to be held as per Corona guidelines

This year, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation will organize International Yoga Festival following the Covid Guidelines. The grandeur of this festival, to be held on the Rishikesh Ganga coast from March 1 to 7, will remain intact. For this, the Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation has started registration.

Rishikesh and the surrounding area is also recognized due to the International Yoga Festival. Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation host this festival. The festival is held every year from March 1 to 7 on the banks of the Ganges River in Rishikesh. This festival is attended by not only Indians but also foreigners in large numbers. World renowned yoga gurus and trainers have been giving their guidance to attendees at the festival. In view of the coronavirus infection this year, there was confusion over the festival’s event. But now in view of the cases of corona occurring within the country, relaxation has been given by the Central and State Government to move from one place to another.

The state government has organized the Tehri Lake Festival within Uttarakhand. Small and big fairs are being conducted under the guidelines. In view of the changing circumstances, this year, the decision to organize the International Yoga Festival at its scheduled time has been taken at the government level. For this, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council and Garhwal Mandal Development Corporation will also have to fulfill the main responsibility this time, preparations are going on for the Yoga Festival at GMVN’s Ganga Resort Complex on Munikireti Ganga Coast. For this the convenience of the seekers has been kept in mind.

Both offline and online registration facility is provided by GMVN. GMVN General Manager Tourism Jitendra Kumar told that the festival will be on scheduled dates. Preparation for what will be its form is in the final stage.

Festival will be online in Parmarth Niketan

Parmarth Niketan Swargashram has played an important role in the development of tourism and pilgrimage in Uttarakhand through the International Yoga Festival. This year, the International Yoga Festival will be held online in Paramarth Niketan. Only its form has changed. The rest of the activities will be like the previous event.
