Tesla cars in India: Bookings could begin early in 2021
People in India have been waiting for the American auto giant Tesla for a long time. Now there is definitely a big news for the fans of this auto maker company. According to media reports, the company has planned to launch its ‘Model 3’ EV car in India. As per the news, electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Company will start booking for its car in January. Customers will have to wait for delivery though.
Significantly, the American EV manufacturer is looking to bring its best-selling car and budget Model 3 to India in the middle of 2021.
Tesla chief Elon Musk first announced the launch of ‘Model 3’ in India in the year 2017 itself. Whose pre-bookings started in 2016. The veteran electric vehicle maker company dropped its plan at the last moment, because there were some problems in India’s Import Policy. But it seems that the lovers of this company will not have to wait much longer as Tesla is fully confident of entering India.
Like the year 2017, it is expected that the company will launch the ‘Model 3’ of its car in the Indian market. Talking about the car, a 60Kwh Lithium ion battery pack has been given inside it. The top speed of the vehicle is 162mph. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60km in 3.1 seconds. Apart from this, in ‘Model 3’ you get a range of 500km. This vehicle is available in 3 different variants abroad.
