Rupee tumbles to new all time low against Dollar

Rupee has reached its record all time low. Today i.e. on 16th April, it witnessed a fall of 9 paise against the US dollar and it reached its lowest ever level of Rs 83.53 per dollar. Earlier on March 22, 2024, the rupee had reached its lowest level of 83.45 against the dollar.

According to experts, the US dollar is rising due to the increasing tension between Israel and Iran. Apart from this, the rise in crude oil prices is also strengthening the dollar.

Importing will be expensive

Fall in rupee means that import of goods is going to become expensive for India. Apart from this, traveling and studying abroad has also become expensive.
