Weather likely to change again in Uttarakhand from October 15

Winter season has started making its presence felt in Uttarakhand especially in morning and evening time. The weather is changing in the hilly areas as well as in the plains.

The weather is expected to remain clear across the state till October 14. However, there may be a change in the weather once again from October 15. During this period the sky will be partly cloudy. There are chances of light rain in Dehradun, Tehri, Uttarkashi and Haridwar districts. Today the weather remained clear in all the districts of the state.

Monsoon has bid farewell to many districts of the state. After which the weather remains pleasant at most places. However, some spells of rain are still occurring in the hilly areas. There was snowfall in Badrinath-Kedarnath Dham recently, after which the chill has increased. The effect of snow fallen in the mountains is being felt in the lower areas also. The chill has increased here. After snowfall in Kedarnath, the temple committee and administration have made arrangements for bonfire, shelter and hot water for the devotees. There was drizzle in the hilly areas on Tuesday also. Due to which the temperature dropped by one to two degrees Celsius. It is extremely cold here even at night.
