CDS Bipin Rawat death: 3 day state mourning announced in Uttarakhand

Three days of state mourning has been declared in Uttarakhand on the death of CDS General Bipin Rawat. There will be state mourning in the state from December 9 to December 11. The national flag will remain at half-mast. Orders were made by the General Administration Department. State mourning orders were issued on behalf of Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman.

Tributes will be paid to CDS General Bipin Rawat on Thursday, the first day of the winter session of the Assembly. There will be no business in the House on the first day except to offer condolences to General Rawat. Giving information, Speaker of the Assembly Premchand Agrawal said that this decision has been taken unanimously in the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee held in the Vidhan Sabha.

He said that CDS General Bipin Rawat was the pride of the country as well as Uttarakhand. Being from Uttarakhand, he had a special attachment to all of us. Aggarwal said that the proceedings of the assembly would begin at 11 am on Thursday but tribute would be paid to him by stopping all the programs of the first day. After the condolence, the proceedings of the house will be adjourned till the next day.

A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee will be held once again on Friday morning. In which the agenda of the session will be decided. He said that the duration of the assembly session has been extended by one day till Saturday. He said that the proceedings of the House would be held on Friday and Saturday.
