Uttarakhand weather update: Rain spell to continue till September 2

Rains will continue in Uttarakhand atleast till September 2. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in the hilly areas. At the same time, there is a possibility of lightning in most areas along with strong thunder.

According to the advisory issued by the Meteorological Department, in many areas there may be strong thunderstorms with rains. Director of Meteorological Center and senior meteorologist Vikram Singh said that in view of the possibility of rain, the officials related to disaster management as well as the common people need to be alert. The officials of the Disaster Management Department have also been informed.
