Two more trainee IFS officers test positive for Coronavirus in Uttarakhand

Two more cases of coronavirus COVID-19 infection have been reported in Uttarakhand. The lab report of the Medical College Haldwani has confirmed the infection of two trainee IFS officer virus of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy.

Both are being admitted to government hospitals. The number of virus infected patients has increased to three in the state. The three trainees were undergoing training at IFS Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy.

According to the Health Department, on 28 February, a team of Trainee IFS went to Spain on a training tour. The touring party returned to Dehradun after 10 days. After giving information to the District Health Department on behalf of the academy, samples from the trainee IFS also included in the teams returned from training tours from other countries as well.

Initially, six trainee IFS samples were sent to the lab of Dr. Sushila Tiwari Medical College, Haldwani. One of which was confirmed possitive for coronavirus.

Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy declared Isolation Zone

The IFS trainee was admitted to Doon Hospital on Sunday. Then 27 more samples who had come in contact with the trainee were sent for test. Of which two reported positive on Thursday. Till date, the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Uttarakhand is 3.

Corona virus infection has been found in two more trainee IFS officers who returned from abroad. Both trainee officers will be kept under Isolation and strict supervision. For the prevention of infection, strict monitoring is being done by the department. People coming in contact with the infected person are being kept in Isolation. So that the infection does not spread to other people.

All the safety precautions have been taken in the academy. Heavy security has been deployed there. Besides, the health department of the state is also being constantly contacted. Both infected trainee IFS are being admitted to government hospitals.

114 samples sent so far, three positive

A total of 114 samples from all over the state have been sent to Haldwani Medical College for examination. 82 cases were found negative in this. While a sample of three trainee IFS officers of Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, who returned from an academic trip to Spain, were found to be positive. Lab report of 29 samples is yet to come. So far, 45352 people coming from outside have been screened at the state airport.
