Rains in Dehradun and Mussoorie, relief from humid heat

The weather changed again in Uttarakhand on Monday afternoon. It intense rain showers fell in the capital Dehradun after about a week. On the other hand, it rained heavily in Mussoorie as well. Light fog has also covered Mussoorie due to rain. At the same time, the rain gave relief to the people from the humid heat.

Monsoon expected to leave late

Meteorologists say that this time the monsoon is likely to depart late, hence there is a possibility of several rounds of rain in most of the districts of the state in September. This time a strong system did not form in the Bay of Bengal. Due to which rainfall reduced in the state.

In August itself, the state received eight percent less rainfall than normal. This year the monsoon had arrived in Uttarakhand with a delay of five days and now it is expected to leave after a delay. Monsoon officially leaves Uttarakhand around September 30, but this time it may leave in the first week of October.
