Uttarakhand government declares Coronavirus epidemic in the state
The Uttarakhand government has declared corona an epidemic. Urban Development Minister Madan Kaushik has confirmed this. In order to prevent viral infection, the Uttarakhand Epidemic Diseases Act (Covid-19) has been implemented in the state. This will give the District Magistrates and Chief Medical Officers unlimited powers for the prevention of the virus.
He said that under this, all the colleges, theaters and multiplexes of the stat will be closed on March 31. But medical colleges will remain open. The government had already announced closure of schools earlier. At the same time, an amount of 50 crore has been approved for isolation ward in the state.

The Uttarakhand government convened meetings of the Council of Ministers and Cabinet on Saturday. The decision regarding the corona virus was taken in a meeting to be chaired by the Chief Minister. The most important thing in this is that Corona has been declared an epidemic by the state government. Emphasis has been laid on caution and awareness in the state to prevent corona.
Decision on mall has not been decided yet. Before any kind of program, it will be necessary to seek approval from the government. In view of Corona, vacant posts of nursing staff will be filled. Additional posts will be created in government medical colleges. Instructions have been given to ensure sanitation in buses.
More people will be prevented from gathering in one place. In violation of this order, a provision of imprisonment from 01 month to 06 months has been made under Section 188 of IPC. In the future, the prefabricated 100-bed hospital will be built as corona intensifies. If required, private building, medical unit building will be made a hospital. 140 departmental ambulances have been put on alert to deal with emergencies.
Health Secretary has unlimited powers
After the enactment of the Pandemic Act, Secretary Health will have unlimited rights. Secretary Health will delegate his powers to the District Collector and CMO (Chief Medical Officer) in the districts. Under this, many powers will be vested in the DM.
The Chief Minister called a Council of Ministers meeting at 5 pm today. Cabinet Ministers Dhan Singh Rawat and Rekha Arya were also present in the Council of Ministers. In this meeting, all ministerial employees’ strike was also discussed. This was followed by a cabinet meeting of cabinet ministers at 5:30 pm. In this meeting, the government gave final approval to the decisions taken in the council.
The state government has already canceled all the big events. Schools and schools up to 12th have been closed till 31 March. At the same time, biometric attendance has also been banned in government and private offices.
Six new samples sent for tests
Due to Corona’s fears, samples of six more patients, including two trainee IFSs, have been sent to Virology Lab Haldwani for examination on Saturday. In this way, 20 samples have been sent from the district till Saturday for investigation. Out of which all 11 patients reported so far have been negative.
