Delhi records over 700 corona cases in past 24 hours
Corona infection was confirmed among 716 samples in Delhi on Friday. This is the figure of the maximum number of people corona infected in a day after 81 days in the capital. Earlier on 27 December, 757 cases of corona were reported in Delhi.
Number of active patients exceeded three thousand
After 716 new cases on Friday, the number of active patients in the capital has also increased to 3165. On Friday, 471 patients were discharged while four patients succumbed to corona. In Delhi, the total corona patients have grown to 646348. Of these, 6,32,230 patients have recovered from corona.
At the same time, 10953 patients died due to corona. In Delhi, the death rate from Corona has been 1.69 percent. According to the department, out of more than three active corona patients in Delhi, 820 patients are admitted in various hospitals in Delhi. At the same time, 524 patients are admitted in Covid Care Center and 1624 in Home Isolation. According to the department, four patients under the Vande Bharat mission are also in isolation.
0.93% patients found infected
In Delhi, the corona infection rate increased by 0.17 percent on Friday as compared to Thursday. There were 77,352 investigations of Corona that took place on Friday. Of these, 0.93 percent of the patients were found to be infected with corona. On Friday, 47078 RTPCR methods and 30274 tests were performed with rapid antigens. So far, 13666875 tests have been done to test the corona in Delhi. The number of hotspots has once again risen due to the increasing cases in Delhi.
