Uttarakhand daily corona update: 288 new cases found on 23 October
In Uttarakhand, Friday saw a reduction in number of new corona infection cases. 518 patients have recovered, while 288 new cases have been reported, out of which 62 are from Udham Singh Nagar. Apart from this, 44 Dehradun, 41 Pauri Garhwal, 33 Nainital, 26 Rudraprayag, 17 Haridwar, 14 Uttarkashi, 13 Bageshwar, 12 Tehri Garhwal, 10 Chamoli, seven Champawat, five Almora and four Pithoragarh have been reported. At the same time, 11 have died. The number of infected patients in the state has increased to 59796. However, 53718 of these have recovered and returned. At present 4656 cases are active, while 979 have died. Apart from this, 443 patients have gone out of the state.
A corona-infected person died at Doon Medical College Hospital. The 65-year-old resident of Uttarkashi was admitted to the hospital on 21 October. On October 23, the patient died during treatment. According to Deputy MS Dr NS Khatri, the body is being cremated as per the Covid-19 guidelines.
