Australia thrash India by 10 wickets in 1st ODI

Australia humiliated team India with a 10 wicket thrashing of the men in blue. The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and Australia was played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Team India came out to bat first after losing the toss and were all out for 255 runs in 49.1 overs. In this way, Australia got a target of 256 runs for victory. In reply, Australia scored the runs in the 38th over without losing any wicket. Openers David Warner and Aaron Finch hit centuries to take the visitors to an easy win.

Team India hoped for a better start with the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan, but that did not happen. On the third ball of the fifth over, Mitchell Starc got the wicket of Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma was dismissed after scoring 10 runs. After this, Shikhar Dhawan and Lokesh Rahul shared a partnership of 121 runs.

Lokesh Rahul was out in the 28th over. He was caught at the hands of Steve Smith by the bowling of Ashton Agar. KL Rahul was out after scoring 47 runs. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed after scoring the 28th half-century of his ODI career. Dhawan scored 74 runs from 91 balls. Dhawan hit 9 fours and a six in this innings.
