Schedule of second phase of IPL 2024 released
The schedule of the second phase of the Indian Premier League-2024 was released on Monday (25 March). Earlier due to the dates of Lok Sabha elections only partial schedule of IPL 2024 was released.
According to the schedule released by BCCI, the second phase of the current season of the league will start on April 8 with a night match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. This match will be played at the home ground Chepauk ground in Chennai. The final of this season will be played on 26 May in Chennai.
The schedule of the first phase was released last month
The IPL organizing committee had released the schedule of 21 matches for the first two weeks on 22 February. Then the schedule of the remaining matches was not released due to the Lok Sabha elections. The schedule of the second phase was released on March 25.
CSK had won the last title, defeated GT by 5 wickets
The title of the last season of IPL was won by Chennai Super Kings under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The team had defeated Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets in the final match in Ahmedabad. CSK and MI have won 5 titles each in this tournament.
