Monsoon expected to retreat soon from Uttarakhand

There is relief news for the people who have been facing the torrential rains for the last one week from the plains to the mountains. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon for 2022 season will soon depart from the state. In a day or two, the Meteorological Department can also issue information regarding this.

On the other hand, after continuous rain from the plain to the mountain, including the capital Doon, the weather changed on Tuesday and the sun was shining brightly. According to meteorologists, due to the weakening of the active cyclone in North East Madhya Pradesh, the weather pattern changed.

Director of Meteorological Center Vikram Singh said that now the time has come for the farewell of monsoon. Now the possibility of heavy rain from plains to mountains is negligible. However, there is a chance of light to moderate rain in the higher reaches of the state. Monsoon is likely to become completely inactive in a day or two and information will be issued after that.

Record 268.5 mm of rain in the entire state in September

According to meteorologists, 268.5 mm of rain has been recorded in the entire state including the capital Doon so far in the month of September. Which is 94.1 mm more than the normal rainfall of 174.4 mm. In percentage terms, the month of September has received 54% more rainfall than normal. In which Bageshwar received maximum rainfall of 500.8 mm, which is 301 mm more than normal. At the same time, the lowest 190 mm of rain was recorded in Chamoli, which is 92 mm more than the normal 99 mm. As far as Dehradun is concerned, 433.2 mm of rain has been recorded in the district.
