Record breaking vaccination drive in Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand has set a record in the highest number of Covid vaccinations in a day. For the first time, more than 1.75 lakh people were vaccinated at 1082 centers across the state. So far 65.87 lakh people have been vaccinated in the state to prevent corona infection. Uttarakhand ranks fifth in the country in vaccination against Corona.
A mega vaccination camp was organized across the state on Saturday. For this vaccination was done in 1082 centers in all 13 districts. The first and second doses of Covid vaccine were administered to 175244 people. In which 173197 people above the age of 18 got vaccinated. While 338 health workers and 1709 front line workers were given vaccine doses.
There was a lot of crowd in the centers to get the vaccines. The government has set a target of 100% vaccination by the month of December. Due to availability of vaccine from the center, the pace of vaccination is increasing in the state. State Immunization Officer Dr. Kuldeep Martolia says that on Saturday, more than 1.75 lakh people were vaccinated across the state. This is the highest figure in a single day so far. Vaccines are being provided regularly by the centre. A consignment of vaccines is likely to arrive from the center on Sunday as well.
100% vaccination in four months says Chief Minister
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Mega Covid Vaccination Camp at Sant Nirankari Bhawan, Tyagi Road. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat was also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the world’s largest vaccination campaign is being run in the country. In the state, vaccination is being done by the state government by setting up camps in the remote areas of the state.
The state has set a target of 100 percent Covid-19 vaccination in four months. The Chief Minister met the people who came for vaccination and inquired about their well being. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that today a target has been set to conduct 1.5 lakh Kovid vaccinations in the state. For this 750 camps have been set up.
