Former UP CM Mulayam Singh Yadav passes away aged 82
SP Patron and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away on Monday. He was 82 years old. Mulayam Singh Yadav was admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram recently due to infection, blood pressure problem and difficulty in breathing. His health continued to be critical.
The last rites of Mulayam Singh Yadav will be performed on Tuesday in his native village Saifai. His body is being taken from Gurugram to Saifai by bus. On the other hand, the Uttar Pradesh government has declared three days of state mourning on the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav.
On the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, President Draupadi Murmu, PM Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, including all the politicians of the country, Chief Ministers of the states, and other prominent personalities expressed grief.
Mulayam Singh Yadav was born on 22 November 1939 in Saifai village of Etawah district. Mulayam Singh Yadav is currently the Lok Sabha MP from Mainpuri seat. Be it the politics of Uttar Pradesh, the politics of the country, Mulayam Singh Yadav is counted among the prominent leaders. He was the CM of UP thrice and he has also been the Defense Minister in the Central Government. Apart from this, Mulayam Singh has also been elected 8 times MLA and 7 times Lok Sabha MP.
