Uttarakhand corona update: 1156 new cases; 3039 recoveries on 31st May

In the last 24 hours, 1156 infected patients were found in Uttarakhand and 44 patients have died. While 3039 patients have recovered. The total number of infected has reached 329494.

According to the Health Department, on Monday, the investigation report of 29310 samples has come negative. While 1156 people have been affected by corona infection in 13 districts.

In the state, 44 patients succumbed during treatment in 24 hours. At the same time, different hospitals in Dehradun, Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar district have given death audit reports of the deaths of seven corona patients in the past. So far 6452 patients have died due to Covid-19 in Uttarakhand.

Today, 3039 patients were discharged after recovery. With this, 288928 patients have defeated the infection. Active cases are decreasing due to more patients recovering than infected. Currently 28371 active patients are under treatment.

Action will be taken against the hospitals charging more money for the treatment of Corona

District Magistrate of Dehradun, Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava has directed to take action against the hospitals which charge more money for the treatment of Corona. Taking a meeting of CMO and Health Department officials, he also directed to immediately recover the money recovered from the patients.

The District Magistrate discussed the Clinical Establishment Act and Covid-19 treatment. He said that they are receiving many complaints about private hospitals that they are charging more money for the treatment of corona patients. He directed the CMO and concerned doctors to take action against such hospitals, which are treating patients without departmental permission. He also asked to take action against those who do not work as per Covid protocol and guidelines.

The DM said that the rates of treatment in all the hospitals should be pasted on the board and the fixed amount should be taken from the patients. During this, DCMO Dr. Sanjeev Dutt informed that action has been taken after receiving complaints of overcharging in some hospitals of the district. The money has been returned to the patients from all such hospitals.
