MeT predicts rain and snow in Uttarakhand in the next 48 hours

In Uttarakhand, there is a continuous increase in temperature in the hills and plains over the past few days. However, According to the Meteorological Center, there may be rain and snowfall in the high places in Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarh in the next 48 hours. Apart from this, there is hope of hail in Dehradun and Nainital on Tuesday. The weather in the state had started changing colors since Saturday evening, during which there was a slight snowfall for two hours in Kedarnath.
The weather in the state was dry on Sunday. In the afternoon, bright sunlight has warmed the day time temperatures. In towns like Uttarkashi and Rudraprayag, the maximum temperature has started to compete with Dehradun. Maximum temperature in Uttarkashi was recorded at 20, Gopeshwar 18 and Rudraprayag 24 degrees. In Dehradun, it was 24.7 degrees Celsius. Bikram Singh, director of the State Meteorological Center, said that there is a possibility of light showers and snowfall at high altitude areas in the mountainous areas, but in other parts of the state the weather will remain dry.
