RVNL announces Rs 1.58 per share interim dividend; know record date

State-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has announced an interim dividend of Rs 1.58 per share for the financial year 2021-22. Shares of Rail Vikas Nigam closed at Rs 33.15, up 1.07 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday. March 25, 2022 is the record date for interim dividend. The company has said that the interim dividend will be paid on or before April 14, 2022.

Shares of the company jumped more than 8 percent

The PSU railway stock has lost nearly 6 per cent so far this year. At the same time, the company’s shares have gained more than 8 percent in a period of one year. Rail Vikas Nigam Limited is a PSU company and is in the business of creating rail infrastructure. As of December 31, 2021, the government’s stake in the railway company is 78.2 per cent.

The shares of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited were at a level of Rs 12.75 on the Bombay Stock Exchange on 27 March 2020. The company’s shares closed at Rs 33.15 on March 16, 2022. If a person had invested Rs 1 lakh in the shares of the company 2 years ago and maintained his investment, then at present this money would have been Rs 2.60 lakh. That is, there would have been a profit of Rs 1.60 lakh. The 52-week high of the company’s shares is Rs 44.75. At the same time, the low-level for 52 weeks is Rs 26.35.
