Uttarakhand daily Corona update: 304 cases on 31 December
On Thursday, 304 new corona patients were found in the state and five infected people died. With this, the total corona patients in the state has reached 90920. While 1509 people have also died so far. According to the Health Bulletin released by the Health Department, on Thursday, 12 in Almora,6 in Bageshwar, 3 in Chamoli, 6 in Champawat, 99 in Dehradun, 18 in Haridwar, 108 in Nainital, 7 in Pauri, 9 in Pithoragarh, 1 each in Rudraprayag and Tehri, 25 in US Nagar while 9 cases were in Uttarkashi district.
Three died at Haldwani Medical College, one at Doon Medical College and one at Mahant Indresh Hospital on Thursday. On Thursday 539 patients were discharged from various hospitals of the state after recovering. With this, the number of patients who have been cured so far has reached 83506. More than 13 thousand samples have been sent from all over the state for investigation. The report of more than 12 thousand samples came negative and the report of more than 14 thousand samples is yet to come. The rate of recovery of patients in the state is 91.85 percent while the rate of infection is running at 5.12 percent.
69 percent patients of corona from plain areas
Between March and December 2020, 69 percent of the total corona patients found in the state are from the four plains districts. While the remaining 31 percent patients have been found in other hill districts of the state. According to the report released by the Social Development for Communities Foundation, 30 percent patients have been found in Dehradun district alone during the Covid period.
