Make in India: ‘MagTapp’ emerges strong alternative to UC Browser

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s self-reliant India message has been assimilated by a young team to create the World’s First Web Browser with Inbuilt Visual Dictionary & Document Reader available as ‘MagTapp’ app. Certified from Startup India, this 32 MB indigenous app made in India is a better alternative to a variety of apps such as Chinese ‘UC Browser’ and ‘WPS Office’. It is available for free on the Play Store.

‘Magtapp’ team leaders

A team of 75 people is behind the made in India ‘MagTapp’ app .Rohan Singh, Abhishiek Singh and Satyapal Chandra are the founders of this App. The team is headed by 20 year old Rohan, of Samastipur district a passout of Army School in Patna. His younger brother Abhishek Singh also studied from Army School. The ‘Magtapp’ app, available in 29 foreign and 12 home languages, has been downloaded by over half a million people so far with the company aiming for 10 million installs by the end of this year.

How the App came into existence

Satyapal Chandra, 32, a Gaya resident, said that after meeting Rohan on social media , planned to create an app. Recently the second version of the app was launched ‘MagTapp 2.0’. There are about 10 thousand books related to competition, about eight thousand videos related to studies with web browser, translator, document listener and reader.

One App to meet 10 apps requirement

News can be read in Hindi and English for less data consumption than app. Apart from Facebook, Instagram, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin and ShareChat, the app has many features like entertainment, current affairs, flight-train tickets and banking. This app fulfills the requirement of 10 apps.

Meaning of word with picture

Rohan Singh said that given the importance of English, the most attractive feature of the app is its visual dictionary. By this, while reading a news paper or any English document on the browser, if you do not understand the meaning of a word, then after pressing on it for a second, the meaning of the word with the photo comes out. By turning on a function of the app, English messages on WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter etc. can be easily read in Hindi.
