High court removes daily Chardham visit limit

In the case of Char Dham Yatra, there has been news of great relief to the Uttarakhand government from the High Court. After amending the High Court’s decision to allow a limited number of pilgrims to enter the temples daily, now increasing the number of pilgrims to Kedarnath and Badrinath Dham, the court said that now any devotee can go on pilgrimage. The big news is coming that the court has ordered to remove the limit on the number of travelers. However, while giving this order, the court has asked the Uttarakhand government that all the medical related arrangements should be adequate and speedy for all the devotees. The High Court also gave instructions to keep helicopters ready for medical facilities in the four Dhams.

The government had filed an application in the court

About three weeks ago, the High Court, while giving conditional approval to the Char Dham Yatra, had allowed only 800 pilgrims in Kedarnath, 1000 in Badrinath, 600 in Gangotri and 400 in Yamunotri for darshan in a day. Since then, the devotees were reaching the dhams and the administration had to stop or return many devotees. According to this problem and the demand of the devotees, the government had filed an affidavit on Thursday, requesting to increase the limit of the number of pilgrims.
