Electronic variant of Tata Nexon launched
Tata Nexon EV was launched on Tuesday. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 13.99 lakhs. It is Tata’s first and cheapest electric SUV in the country. Tata Nexon Electric has been launched in three variants (XM, XZ + and XZ + LUX). In the market, it will compete with MG Motor’s ZS EV and Hyundai’s Kona Electric SUV.
Tata Nexon EV has a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The battery pack is given below the floor, which will help reduce body roll. The electric motor delivered in this electric SUV generates 129PS power and 245Nm peak torque.
Tata Motors claims that Nexon Electric will run 312 km once full charged. It will take 9.9 seconds for this electric SUV to reach 0-100 km / h. The standard 15A AC charger will take 8 hours to charge the battery from 20% to 100%. At the same time, its battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in 60 minutes with a fast charger.
The Nexon Electric Standard is based on the facelift model of the Nexon (petrol-diesel model). This electric SUV gets a Humanity line grille, projector lights with sharp headlamps and LED DRLs. The car gets wide airdam, fog lamps with chrome bezels, new alloy wheels and out side rear view mirrors with turn indicators. Unlike the standard Nexon, it has a badging of Nexon EV. This electric SUV is available in three color options – Signor Teal Blue, Glacier White and Moonlight Silver.
35 Advanced Connected Car Features
The electric version of Nexon gets the company’s new ZConnect application. The company has said that 35 advanced connected car features will be available in this mobile application. These include features related to SUV’s Statistics, Remote Access, Safety and Security etc.
Tata Nexon EV Features
The base variant XM of the Tata Nexon EV features full automatic climate control, two drive modes, keyless entry and push button start, ZConnect connected car app, front-rear power window and electric tailgate. The XZ + has dual tone color options, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear camera and leather finish steering wheels. Electric Nexon’s top variant XZ + LUX features a sunroof, premium leather finish seats and automatic rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps.
Price of all variants
The base variant XM of Nexon EV is priced at 13.99 lakhs, XZ + for 14.99 lakhs and the top variant XZ + LUX is Rs 15.99 lakhs. These prices of Electric Nexon are introductory and ex showroom. Tata has kept the same ex-showroom price of Electric Nexon across the country.
