India records over 60000 corona cases for second consecutive day
The increase in corona virus cases in the country continued on Sunday as well. In the last 24 hours, 62 thousand corona cases have been reported in the country once again. During this period more than 300 people have died due to corona. According to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry, a total of 62,714 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country. During this period, 312 people died due to corona. Corona’s active cases in the country have risen to half a million.
The Corona pandemic is spreading in some states including Maharashtra & Delhi with the rapid pace that has overshadowed the festival of colors Holi.
According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 1 crore 19 lakh 71 thousand 624 cases of corona virus have been reported so far in the country. However, out of this, 1 crore 13 lakh 23 thousand 762 people have recovered from Corona. Corona’s active cases have increased to 4 lakh 86 thousand 310 in the country. The number of deaths from corona in India has reached 1 lakh 61 thousand 552.
More than 24 crores corona test so far
The number of corona tests in the country is increasing rapidly. So far, more than 24 crore corona investigations have been done in the country. According to data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), as of 27 March 2021, 23,75,03,882 samples have been tested in the country, of which 11,81,289 tests were conducted in one day.
More than 6 million vaccinations
Meanwhile, vaccination against the corona virus continues in the country. According to the latest data of the Union Health Ministry, 6 crore 2 lakh 69 thousand 782 people have been vaccinated in the country so far. Out of this, 21,54,170 vaccinations have been done in the last one day.
