First phase of made in India corona vaccine shows promising results

The first phase of the Corona vaccine being prepared in the country against the Coronavirus is proving to be successful. In this phase, 375 volunteers were vaccinated and did not have any side effects. It is believed that if the speed of the trial is the same then India can prepare the corona vaccine early next year.

In the country, India Biotech and ICMR together are preparing Corona vaccine. In the first phase of the trial, 375 volunteers were given two doses of the vaccine. This phase was done in 12 institutions in the country including AIIMS in Delhi. The results so far are showing that no volunteers has had any side effects. Now blood tests of Volunteers are being done. So that it is seen that they have not suffered any harm.

The vaccine’s human trial first started with Patna AIIMS. After that the process of vaccine trials was started at PGI Institute, Rohtak. Most of these volunteers were registered in AIIMS, Delhi. Of the total registered 375 nationwide, 100 volunteers are registered in Delhi AIIMS. It will take another 20 to 30 days to complete the first phase of the trial. After this, India will seek the second phase approval from Biotech and ICMR Drug Controller of India.

A total of 1125 people are to be tested for the coronavirus vaccine. The first phase of trial involves 375 people. The first phase is considered to be the most important stage in the trial of any vaccine. It will be seen that there are no side effects of the vaccine. It is also seen that how much dose of vaccine will be sufficient.

After applying the vaccine, the volunteers will remain under observation in the hospital for 2 hours. After this, its side effects will be seen for 28 days. Also, the follow up of the person will go on for 3 months. In the second phase, more than 700 people will be registered. In this stage it will be seen how much antibody is being prepared in the body by applying the vaccine. People between 12-65 years old will be included in this trial.

In the third and last phase, the maximum number of people will be registered as volunteers, this number has not been decided yet. In this stage it is decided that how effective the vaccine proved to be. Looking at the current pace, it is being said that the vaccine produced in India may be ready in the beginning of the new year or in the first quarter of 2021.
