Surya Kumar Yadav hits first T20I century of 2023

Team India batsman Suryakumar Yadav has hit the first T20I century of the year 2023. The Sri Lankan bowlers looked clueless against the 360 style game of Sky in Rajkot. He completed the third century of his career in a rapid manner. He hit fours and sixes almost at will against the Sri Lankan bowlers and put the team in a commanding position.

Surya Kumar Yadav completed his third century in T20 International cricket in just 45 balls. In this innings he hit 6 fours and 8 sixes. Earlier,he scored a half-century in the second T20 International match played in Pune. The first international century of the year 2023 was scored by New Zealand left-handed batsman Devon Conway, when he scored a century against Pakistan.

Second fastest T20I century

Surya Kumar Yadav completed his half-century in 26 balls in this match. After this, he used only 19 balls to reach the century, in which the audience of Rajkot got to see plenty of fours and sixes. This is the second fastest century for India, as Rohit Sharma has scored a century in T20 International cricket in 35 balls.
