Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery on strike from 6th September onwards
In a bad news for expectant mothers and patients across the state, 1753 auxiliary nurse midwifery (ANM) and nurses across the state are set to go on a strike against non-fulfilment of their demands. The ANMs are infuriated that their demands of increment in salary and filling up the permanent posts hasn’t been filled and have decided to go an indefinite strike from Tuesday while nurses have threatened to go on strike from Sept 8.
