Bhagat Singh Koshyari resigns, Ramesh Bais becomes new Governor of Maharashtra

Governors of many states have been changed today and reshuffle has been seen in many. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has also resigned, after which Ramesh Bais was made the new Governor of Maharashtra. At the same time, the resignation of Radha Krishnan Mathur as Lt. Governor of Ladakh has also been accepted and the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Dr. B.D. Mishra was appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.

Governors of Arunachal, Jharkhand and Himachal also changed

President Droupadi Murmu has approved the appointment of several new governors. Lieutenant General Kaiwalya Trivikram Parnaik has been appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh. Laxman Prasad Acharya has been made the Governor of Sikkim. CP Radhakrishnan has been appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand and Shiv Pratap Shukla as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh.

New governors in Bihar, Nagaland & Assam as well

President Murmu has approved the appointment of Manipur Governor L.A. Ganesan as the Governor of Nagaland. Whereas Bihar Governor Phagu Chauhan has been appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar as the new Governor of Bihar.

Gulab Chand Kataria, former Home Minister of Rajasthan and Leader of the Opposition in the current Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, has been appointed as the Governor of Assam.

Changes in Chhattisgarh and Andhra as well

The Central Government has appointed Justice (Retd) S Abdul Nazeer as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan has been made the Governor of Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, Chhattisgarh Governor Anusuiya Uikey has been appointed as the Governor of Manipur.
