Rains forecast in hills of Uttarakhand till May 5

There is a possibility of rain in many parts of the state till May 5. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of rain. Rainfall is expected in the mountainous districts even after May 5. According to the Meteorological Department, western disturbance has become quite active in the state at this time. The effect of which is likely to last for six to seven days. On Sunday, there is a possibility of light rain, hailstorm, lightning in some places in the mountainous districts of Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Pithoragarh etc. Higher areas may experience snowfall. While in other parts the weather can be dry and humid. On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, there is a possibility of dark clouds, light to moderate rain, lightning and snowfall in the mountainous districts. On May 5, there may be rains in the plains as well. According to Meteorological Director Bikram Singh, the weather will remain unchanged for the next two days after May 5, there will be no specific change in it. At present, a system is active over Rajasthan, South Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir. Due to this, rain was recorded in the districts of Pithoragarh, Nainital, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar, Rudraprayag etc.

Weather change in Dehradun

After about a week in Doon, the temperature has decreased somewhat. On Saturday afternoon, people got some relief from the heat due to the presence of dark clouds in the sky and strong winds. At the same time, mercury also declined. Since 25 April, the temperature of Doon was continuously increasing. On Saturday, the maximum mercury dropped by one degree from normal to 35.3 degrees Celsius. However, the minimum temperature was two degrees above normal at 21.7. The Meteorological Department has forecast rain, strong wind, dust storm on May 4, 5 and 6 in Doon.

Weather turns cooler in Mussoorie

The temperature changed in the tourist town of Mussoorie with rain at 3 pm. The city recorded a drop in temperature due to strong winds along with heavy rains. People had to wear warm clothes to avoid the cold. In the tourist town of Mussoorie, there was bright sunshine on Saturday from morning till two in the afternoon. Around three o’clock in the evening, as the weather changed with dark clouds in the sky. The city started to get strong winds with heavy rains, which changed the weather patterns. The outbreak of cold also increased due to the drop in temperature due to rain and cold winds.
