Stock market update: Sensex falls after making new all time high
Today i.e. on Friday (July 7), the market has again created a new all-time high. The Sensex reached a level of 65,898.98 during trading. Earlier, the all-time high of Sensex was 65,832.98. The Nifty touched a level of 19,523.60 during the trade. Its earlier all-time high was 19,512 which was made on Thursday.
However, later there was a decline in the market. The Sensex fell 505 points to close at 65,280. At the same time, Nifty also declined by 165 points. It closed at 19,331 level. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 26 declined and only 4 advanced. Shares of Tata Motors rose 3.6%. Whereas the power grid fell by 2.6%.
Idea Forge shares listed up 94%
Shares of Idea Forge got listed on the stock exchanges today up nearly 94%. It opened at Rs 1300 on NSE and Rs 1305.10 on BSE. Its issue price was Rs 672. It made a high of Rs 1343.95 during the trade. It closed at Rs 1294.95 on the NSE, up Rs 622.95 or 92.70%.
Tata Motors share reached all time high
Shares of Tata Motors today closed at Rs 622.90, up by Rs 22.10 or 3.68%. The stock also hit an all-time high of Rs 624.80 in the day’s trade. JLR sold 93,253 vehicles in Q1FY24, up 30% from last year. Due to this, there has been a rise in the stock.
Rise in media and public sector bank stocks
Public sector bank and media stocks gained today. The Nifty PSU Bank index rose 0.98%. Nifty Media gained 3.91%. Nifty FMCG fell the most by 1.53%. IT, metal, pharma, realty also declined.
Yesterday the Sensex closed up by 339 points
The Sensex closed at 65,785 with a gain of 339 points. At the same time, the Nifty also gained 98 points, it closed at the level of 19,497. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 have seen a rise and 9 have seen a decline. 32 stocks of Nifty were bought and 16 were sold. There was no change in the 2 shares. M&M’s stock closed up 5%.
