Neeraj Chopra qualifies for Javelin throw finals of Tokyo Olympics

On the 12th day of Tokyo Olympics, there was good news for Indian fans in the early morning. Neeraj Chopra has qualified for the final in Javelin Throw.

Chopra threw 86.65m in the first attempt

Neeraj was included in Pool A. He threw the javelin at a distance of 86.65 meters in his very first attempt. With this, he raised the hope of a medal for India. Chopra’s preparations for the Olympics were affected by injury and the COVID-19 pandemic, but he did not disappoint his fans at all and qualified for the Olympic final on his very first throw. On the other hand, the other Indian thrower Shivpal Singh has been out of the race for the final. He threw 74.81 meters in the third attempt. Earlier, he had a throw of 74.80 meters in the second attempt and 76.40 meters in the first attempt.

There are also high hopes from Indian women’s hockey and boxer Lovlina Borgohain on Wednesday. The hockey team has already given its best performance by reaching the semi-finals. They would like to increase it further by reaching the finals. Meanwhile Lovlina has also assured a medal for India, only the color needs to be decided.
