Uttarakhand weather update on October 9: Orange alert for rains in Kumaon region

There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in the districts of Kumaon division today. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these places of Kumaon division, while a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain at isolated places in the rest of the state.

According to the bulletin issued from the Meteorological Center Dehradun on Saturday evening, light to moderate rain or thundershowers may occur at most places in all the districts of Kumaon division and many places in Garhwal division. Generally partly cloudy sky is likely to prevail over Dehradun. Heavy or intense showers may occur in some areas.
