Sensex,Nifty close on lifetime high
Today i.e. on Wednesday (June 28), the stock market made its all-time high. The Sensex had reached a level of 64,050 during trading. However, after this there was a slight decline and it climbed 499 points to close at the level of 63,915. Earlier this month, on June 22, the stock market had made its all-time high. Then the Sensex touched the level of 63,601.
Meanwhile, Nifty also made an all time high of 19,011. After this it also came down a bit and closed at the level of 18,972 with a gain of more than 154 points. Earlier, Nifty’s all-time high was 18,887.60 which it made on December 1, 2022. There was a boom in almost all the sectors on the NSE. Nifty metal and pharma climbed the most.
Adani Enterprises shares rose more than 5%
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 24 advanced and 6 declined. The maximum share of Tata Motors rose by 2.38%. Apart from this, the shares of Sun Pharma and NTPC also gained about 2 per cent each. Tech Mahindra was at the forefront of declining stocks, which closed with a weakness of 0.93%. At the same time, the share of Adani Enterprises rose by more than 5% on the NSE.
Investors’ wealth increased by Rs 2.2 lakh crore
Investors’ wealth has increased by Rs 2.2 lakh crore since Wednesday’s market rally. The market cap of companies listed on BSE ie Bombay Stock Exchange was Rs 292.13 lakh crore in the previous session, which increased to Rs 294.33 lakh crore.
The market has gained more than 4% so far this year
So far this year, the market has seen a great boom. At the beginning of this year i.e. on January 2 (the market was closed on January 1), the Sensex was at the level of 61,167, which has now (June 28) reached 63,915 points. So far this year, it has seen a gain of more than 4% i.e. 2,748 points. According to experts, this boom may continue further.
Market reached from 10 thousand to 60,000 in 15 years
On July 25, 1990, the BSE Sensex touched the level of 1 thousand for the first time. It took almost 16 years (6 February 2006) to come from 1 thousand to 10 thousand, but completed the journey from 10 thousand to 60 thousand in only 15 years.
