Congress aims to add 10 lakh new members ahead of assembly elections 2022

The Pradesh Congress Committee has set a target of making 10 lakh new members. At least 50 members will be made in each booth. For this, the Congress party has started membership drive across the state from Thursday.

State Congress General Secretary Organization Mathura Dutt Joshi told that State President Ganesh Godiyal had already formed a membership campaign committee for the Congress membership campaign.

The campaign was launched on 16 September in the State Congress Committee auditorium. In view of the assembly elections, the party membership drive will be given impetus. All district and city presidents will be given fixed targets.

Second phase of Congress Parivartan Yatra in Haridwar tomorrow

At the same time, the second round of the Parivartan Yatra of the State Congress Committee will begin with Ganga Aarti at Harki Pauri in Haridwar at 6 pm on Friday. All the big leaders and workers of the party will participate in the yatra which will start under the leadership of State Congress President Ganesh Godiyal. Earlier, the first phase of Parivartan Yatra has been completed in Kumaon. After the successful journey of the first phase, there is enthusiasm among the party leaders and workers about the journey of the second phase.

Giving this information, State Congress Media In-charge Rajeev Mehrishi said that the Congress Party’s Parivartan Yatra will start from Harki Pauri on 18th September and reach Jwalapur at 1 o’clock, BHEL at 2 o’clock, Bahadrabad at 3 o’clock and reach Roorkee at 4 pm. Here the first day’s journey will end with a public meeting at BSM Degree College ground.

After a public meeting at Sultanpur at 3 o’clock, Ferupur at 4 o’clock in the evening, on September 20 the second phase of the journey will end with a public meeting in Kankhal. He said that in the first phase of the Parivartan Yatra started by the Congress party, there was enthusiasm among the people. This will definitely benefit the party in the upcoming assembly elections.
