Stock Market update: Nifty closes above 17800
The stock market has closed sharply on the last trading day of the week. Today both Sensex and Nifty have closed in the green mark in the market. On Friday, the Sensex closed at 59,793.14 with a gain of 104.92 points, or 0.18 per cent. Apart from this, the Nifty-50 index closed at the level of 17,833.35 with a gain of 34.60 points or 0.19 percent.

In the list of top-30 stocks of Sensex, 14 stocks have increased. Apart from this, the stocks of 16 companies have closed in the red mark. Today the shares of Ultratech Cement was down over 131 points. At the same time, the stocks of Tech Mahindra has been among the top gainers.
Tech stocks shine
Apart from Tech Mahindra, IndusInd Bank, Infosys, HCL Tech, Maruti, TCS, SBI, Wipro, Axis Bank, HUL, ICICI Bank, ITC, HDFC Bank and Tata Steel have also seen good buying.
In the list of declining stocks, many stocks including M&M, LT, Bajaj Finance, Tatine, Bajaj Finserv, Nestle India, Dr Reddy’s, Tata Steel, NTPC, Bharti Airtel have fallen.

Today there has been buying in Nifty Bank, Nifty Auto, FMCG, IT, Metal, PSU Bank, Private Bank Sector. Apart from this, there has been a sell-off in financial services, media, pharma, realty, healthcare, consumer durables and oil and gas sectors. All these sectors are closed in the red mark.
How was the condition of the global market?
There has been huge volatility in the global market. US markets closed at a high after a choppy session. The Dow Jones closed up by 193 points, and the Nasdaq gained 0.60 percent and the S&P 500 rose 0.66 percent. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has once again spoken of raising the interest rate to rein in inflation. It is expected that on September 21, the Fed can increase by 0.75% points.
