Corona curfew in Uttarakhand extended till September 21

The state government has extended the Covid curfew implemented in the state by one more week in view of the Corona infection. That is, now the curfew will continue till September 21. A decision in this regard has been taken in a high level meeting on Monday. According to the SOP issued, now the district administration will allow fifty percent people of the capacity of the venue to attend the wedding ceremony with the Covid protocol. The persons attending these functions, catering staff and wedding point management/staff need not show the RTPCR report if they taken both the doses of the vaccine.

Covid curfew is currently in force in the state. Its period ends at 6 am on Tuesday. Right now all activities are being conducted during the curfew, however, only a limited number of persons are still being allowed to attend weddings and celebrations. Markets are opening six days a week, shopping malls, multiplexes, cinema halls etc. are opening with 50 percent capacity.

Schools and colleges have also opened now. Government, non-government offices, industries are operating normally. Traffic in and out of the state is going smoothly. Random sampling of those coming from other states is being done. The exemption is being given only to those who have got both the doses of the vaccine before arrival. Negative report of Covid test is being sought from those who have not got the vaccine. At present, corona infection is under control in the state. Despite this, the government is preparing to increase the Covid curfew, keeping the rules issued.
