Uttarakhand corona update: 2220 cases reported on 15 April

On Thursday, a record 2220 new patients of Corona were found in Uttarakhand. Earlier, the number of patients in a single day was 2078, which was met during the first wave of corona on 19 September 2020. But on Thursday, a large number of new patients have demolished the old record. According to the Health Bulletin issued by the Health Department, on Thursday, once again the maximum number of patients appeared in the capital Dehradun. 914 new patients have been found in Dehradun. Apart from this, 613 in Haridwar, 156 in Nainital, 131 in US Nagar, 105 in Pauri, 55 in Almora, 15 in Bageshwar, 25 in Chamoli, 25 in Champawat, 29 in Pithoragarh, 49 in Rudraprayag, 79 in Tehri and 23 in Uttarkashi district.

The total number of patients in the state has crossed 1,16,000. 99700 of which have been recovered. While more than 12 thousand active patients are being treated in hospitals and home isolation. A total of 67 containment zones have been created in the state to prevent corona infection. Out of which 33 are in Dehradun district alone.

Death of nine infected

On Thursday, nine patients admitted to the hospital across the state died after infection. With this, the total death toll in the state after Corona infection has reached 1802.

In Dehradun, the rate of infection is 16.89 percent; active cases cross 5000

In Dehradun district, the rate of infection is increasing very fast. After receiving 914 new patients on Thursday, the rate of infection in the capital has reached 16.89 percent. There were 5411 sample reports in the capital, out of which 914 new positive patients have been found. Whereas in the capital a week ago, the corona infection rate was close to 3.72 percent. In such a situation, there is a dire need to increase testing in the capital. In Dehradun, the number of active patients has crossed five thousand.

Recovery rate fell by two percent in one day

Due to increase in the number of patients, the recovery rate of patients in the state is falling very fast. A total of 397 patients were discharged after treatment across the state on Thursday, but in spite of this the recovery rate has fallen by almost two percent in a single day. According to the bulletin, the recovery rate of patients in the state on Thursday was slightly above 85 percent, which was 87.16 percent on Wednesday.

Night curfew imposed in entire state

The Uttarakhand government has decided to implement night curfew in the entire state starting Friday night.
