Uttarakhand weather update: Rain forecast in the state on March 25

The weather pattern continue to change in Uttarakhand. When the rains stopped,bright sunshine was seen in many areas for the last couple of days, due to which the temperature also increased. However, clouds have once again camped in the mountainous areas. There are chances of rain and snowfall again in the mountains in the next two days. There may also be hailstorm at some places in the low-lying areas. The rain and snowfall in the recent past have created many new records in the state. In just five days, the state received 325 mm of rainfall. During this the mercury dived and a record fall in temperature was recorded. Now today in Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Uttarkashi, Bageshwar and Tehri districts, the cold may increase due to rain-snowfall-hail. While rains are forecast in most parts of the state including capital Dehradunn on March 25.

According to meteorologists, today there may be hailstorm accompanied by thunder and lightning in the low-lying areas, in view of which a yellow alert has been issued. The weather in the plains can range from dry to partly cloudy. There might be a slight rise in temperature. There may be light rain-snowfall at some places in the hilly areas. After snowfall from November to February, snow starts melting from March. This time there is heavy snowfall in the higher Himalayan regions in March. Due to snowfall, the temperature there has reached minus-20 degree Celsius. The condition is that Gunji, Kalapani, Nabhidhang, Lipulekh still have 12 to 20 cm of snow.
