On Wednesday, near Sheeshmahal, a contractor died due to electrocution from a motor in Kathgodam’s Gayatri Nagar. The police has handed over the post mortem to the relatives. The contractor is basically a resident of Bihar Chhapra. According to the police, Sanjay Colony resident contractor Vikram Rai (40), son Dakhal Rai was removing the rain water from the motor in the ground floor of the building under construction in Gayatrinagar at around 10 in the morning. The motor suddenly fell into the water, due to which the contractor received an electric shock. The laborers present there took him to the hospital but unfortunately he could not be saved. After the post-mortem, the police handed the body to the relatives. The family told that Vikrama had been working as a contractor for 18 years.
