MS Dhoni enjoys holiday with family in Mussoorie

Former India team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni enjoyed snowfall in Mussoorie with wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva. It is being told that Dhoni stayed with the family for about four days in a newly constructed building in Jabarkhet, about ten kilometers from Mussoorie.

During this, he also kept distance from the media. Police-administration is refusing any such information. However, Dhoni’s wife Sakshi has shared some photos in Instagram with daughter Ziva while enjoying the snowfall. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s in-law’s live in Dalanwala, Dehradun and his wife Sakshi often comes here to spend holidays. Dhoni has taken time off from the cricket field since the World Cup semi final of 2019.

Vehicles stuck in snow for 12 hours in Mussoorie

Tourists flocked to enjoy the snowfall in Mussoorie overnight. Roads became dangerous due to melting snow, due to which about two hundred vehicles were stuck for 12 hours. Police and ITBP jawans pulled out the vehicles with great effort.

Due to snowfall on Saturday, the snow sheet was laid on the roads at many places on the Mussoorie-Dhanaulti road, which got slippery and vehicles started slipping. The Bataghat-JP bend carried out a rescue drive for hours. ITBP Deputy Commandants Kamal Mehra and Umesh Nautiyal said that along with 20 ITBP jawans, he had reached here last night and started the Rescue operation. Snow removal from the road continued throughout the night at temperatures near zero and vehicles were evacuated. The rescue operation lasted till Sunday afternoon, in which more than two hundred vehicles stuck in snow were evacuated. He said that food and water were also made available to tourists riding in vehicles stuck in snow.

The movement of vehicles resumed on Sunday afternoon on the Dhanaulti-Chamba road. At the same time, on the Mussoorie-Chamba motor road, two JCBs from both sides were engaged in snow removal and by Sunday evening the traffic was smooth again. SDM Mussoorie Varun Chaudhary said that about half a dozen buses and other vehicles were stuck on the Mussoorie-Kempty Road, which could be rescued from there by evening. He said that food packets and water were distributed by the administration to the tourists stranded on the Mussoorie-Dhanaulti route. The library-company garden route is still closed to traffic. There was an intermittent jam on the Library-Kinkreg route after noon.
