AAP promises 300 units of free electricity to Uttarakhand ahead of assembly elections
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal slammed the BJP for changing the chief minister in Uttarakhand. He said that BJP does not have any Chief Minister. Since coming to power, three chief ministers have been made so far. He termed the Uttarakhand Power Minister’s announcement of 100 units of free electricity as an election ‘jumla’. Also said that four things were guaranteed regarding electricity policy of AAP.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached Dehradun on Saturday on a one-day visit to Uttarakhand. He first met the workers of Aam Aadmi Party Uttarakhand at a hotel on Rajpur Road. After some time he interacted with the journalists, in which he took a dig at the BJP. During this, he also guaranteed four things in the field of electricity. He said that after the formation of the government, this announcement will be implemented first.
Kejriwal gave guarantee of these four things
- Just like it was done in Delhi, similarly it will be done in Uttarakhand. As soon as the government is formed, 300 units electricity will be given free to every family here.
- Old bills will be waived, new bills will be started.
- There will be no power cut, 24 hours electricity will be given in Uttarakhand.
- Free electricity will be given to the farmers of Uttarakhand. Farming electricity will be made free.
