VS Naipaul, a noted Nobel Prize winning writer of Indian origin breathed last on 11 August 2018. He was 85 years old. Naipaul’s family announced his death on Saturday. His wife said in a statement, “All his achievements are great and he took his last breath among his loved ones. His life was full of wonderful creations and efforts. ” VS Naipaul’s full name was Vidyadhar Suraj Prasad Naipaul. He was awarded the Booker Prize in 1971 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2001. Naipaul was born in Trinidad in 1932. Naipaul’s first book ‘The Mystic Masseur’ was published in 1951. ‘A Bend in the River’ and ‘A House for Mr. Biswas’ are his famous works throughout the world. The ancestors of VS Naipaul settled in Trinidad in 1880. Naipaul’s father Seepersad was a reporter and fiction writer in Trinidad Gorgian. It is said that VS Naipaul’s interest in reading and writing came after seeing the works of his father. Naipaul’s education took place in England and he lived in England. He made many trips to many countries of the world. Many books, travelogues and essays have been written by which he got fame and he was counted among the top authors of the world.
