‘On Demand’ testing for Corona to be available now

The Ministry of Health of the Indian Government has released a new guideline regarding Corona testing. According to this, for the first time, ‘On demand’ testing facility will also be available. Not only this, now people will get treatment even if there is no prior test of corona in any health emergency. However, a sample will have to be given for this.

Decision was taken in view of testing facilities

Actually, the government has taken this decision after 11.70 lakh Corona tests were done in the country for the last two days and increasing the facilities of corona testing in the country. So far, more than 4 crore 77 lakh corona testing has been done in the entire country. And 1647 testing labs are operational across the country. In view of these facilities, the central government has issued a new guideline regarding corona testing.

The National Task Force set up to deal with the Corona cases suggested this. After which now ‘On demand’ testing is also being started.

Some cases will still be given priority in testing, including all health workers and corona warriors working on the front line in the

1-containment zone will get preference. Also, all the suspects in the containmenr zone will also be tested. For this, rapid antigen or RT-PCR test will be done as per the requirement.

2. People without corona symptoms, those who come in contact with corona infected will get priority in testing. Elderly people above 65 years of age have also been included in this.

3. Senior citizens of the Containment Zone will be given priority, as they have a higher risk of infection.

4. All people with corona symptoms will get priority in testing, especially those who have come from abroad in the last 14 days.

5. Corona testing will also be done to all the people who come in contact with a corona infected person.

5. Sero test will be done for any patient reached to the hospital.

6- A corona test will be done for a person who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, provided he has not undergone any operation and has not done more than one test in a week.

7- All pregnant women will have corona test. Those who have reached the hospital for delivery.
Apart from this, the central government has said to give priority to corona testing in 6 other categories.

The government has clearly said that due to lack of testing facilities, treatment of any pregnant woman will not be stopped. Samples can be sent for testing.

Every person coming from abroad should have a corona negative test certificate. Also, people living in home quarantine will also be tested corona after 14 days.
