Market continues bull run for 3rd day in a row; Nifty crosses 15500

On the third trading day of the week, the stock market saw tremendous growth and there was a lot of business in Sensex and Nifty. As soon as the market opened on Wednesday, all the indices opened with big gains, this trend continued throughout the day. Both Sensex and Nifty closed on the green mark when the market closed on Wednesday. The Sensex rose by 629 and closed at 55,397. On the other hand, Nifty jumped 180 points and closed at 16520. During the day, it had gained 862 points or 1.57 per cent to reach 55,630. On the other hand, Nifty climbed 180 points or 1.10 percent to reach 16,520.

Buying of Reliance Industries, Infosys and Tata Consultancy Services and FIIs boosted the market. Shares of oil companies saw a rise. Reliance Industries rose 2.47 per cent and ONGC by 4 per cent after the government reduced windfall taxes on petrol, diesel, jet fuel and crudeOn Tuesday, the stock market closed on the green mark. On Tuesday, the Sensex closed up 246 points at 54,767, while the Nifty climbed 62 points to close at 16340.

Shares of ONGC, Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL Tech and Reliance traded heavily today and were the biggest gainers.

Which shares suffered losses?

Shares of HDFC Life, M&M, Sun Pharma, Eicher Motors and Kotak Mahindra Bank declined trading today and remained bearish.

In Asia, markets in Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong saw gains. Meanwhile, international oil benchmark Brent crude fell 1.17 per cent to $106.1 per barrel. Foreign institutional investors bought shares worth Rs 976.40 crore on Tuesday, according to exchange data.
